Korean cars grow in popularity amid flopping global car sales

south korean car brands are growing in
popularity across the world despite the global downturn and auto sales according
to the korea automobile manufacturers association south korean automakers
accounted for 7.7 percent of sales in the US markets from january to september
this year that’s up three percentage points from the same period in 2018
their market share also grew in Europe by two percentage points to 6.8% the
sales growth has been attributed to the overseas popularity of Korean SUVs and
electric vehicles however combined auto sales of all auto brands in seven major
global markets including the u.s. EU China and India dropped 5.6 percent
compared to last year
